Where it came from

Moji began as a model router. Running our own agents made inference our biggest cost, and we built Moji to control that bill.

Our agents also ran for hours, and cost turned out to be only part of the problem. Cost, quality and recovery sat in separate tools, so Moji grew into the control layer that brings them together for the whole job.

Why always-on agents

Models are rapidly improving at long-horizon work, and the infrastructure to run that work on a team’s core workflows is fragmented and under-developed.

Moji builds the automation structures around each task, and always-on agents run them. Each agent gets a single step, a check and a share of the budget, and Moji runs agent teams for security, software, content and research work.

Moji is open source, and any team can run it on its own machines.

The team

We are a research and product team working across AI systems, infrastructure and production control. Our backgrounds include published LLM-memory research, a Cambridge PhD in NLP, AI product and data science in banking, and technology investment banking.

Moji is built by Frequency AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16990328).

The mark

The four shapes, a diamond, square, circle, and triangle in gold, blue, orange, and green, come from the wider Moji work. Here they stand for the different agents and models a workflow can draw on, one step at a time.
